Robert A. Fantus Collection.

Robert Fantus was a medical doctor in Menlo Park, California who recorded San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony, and Oakland Symphony performances from radio broadcasts from 1966 to 1978. He organized his collection in two series of numbers, SY (Symphony) and OP (Opera). There are many gaps in the numerical sequence which are noted in the contents list. Notes, clippings, and programs are inserted in tape boxes, and several boxes of index cards accompany the tapes. There are also unnumbered tapes, the earliest of which is a Rodgers and Hammerstein radio program from 1954. A handwritten list of complete contents is available.

142 open reel tapes (5 boxes)
